Because hiring a nanny on your own is such a daunting task, we have prepared a few documents that we hope will make the job easier for you. The experience our sister company- Colorado Nanny Inc. has gained in placing hundreds of nannies is yours free of charge. Below you will find two helpful documents that can save you much time and frustration. Keep in mind that these documents are samples to be used as examples only, your own interview questions and work agreement should reflect the specific needs of your children and family.
The first is an example of effective interview questions for your nanny candidates. These questions have been carefully developed over time to help you discover the overall childcare knowledge of your nanny candidates as well as her strengths and weaknesses. It also will help you decide which nannies you interview are most qualified for your particular child care situation. It is available for download in both Adobe and Word format.
If you do not have Adobe, please click on the link below to download a copy.
The second helpful document is an example of a nanny work agreement. It is imperative that you and your new nanny agree on the duties she is to perform. It is our experience that when a work agreement is not fully discussed and agreed upon by the family and nanny- miscommunication and a break down in goodwill generally results. Take this example and adapt it to your own needs. It is available for download in both Adobe and Word format.
